Job summary

AECOM's Transmission & Distribution team is seeking a Senior OHL Engineer to lead overhead line design projects up to 400 kV for the UK's Great Grid Upgrade. You will provide technical support, engage with clients, and ensure designs meet industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline
• CEng Chartered Engineer with a recognised electrical engineering institution (e.g. IET)
• Experience delivering UK transmission projects for operators like National Grid, SSE or SPT
• Proven ability in overhead line engineering up to 400 kV
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead overhead line design activities for transmission projects up to 400 kV.
• Provide technical support on multi-discipline projects and complex layouts.
• Support feasibility studies and client proposals with timelines, resources and budgets.
• Produce and check engineering deliverables including reports and drawings.
