Job summary

Baker Hughes in the UK offshore is seeking a Senior Wireline Field Engineer with experience in electric line logging or downhole tractors to join our expanding team.

You will rig up and test downhole tools, coordinate with crew and customers, supervise training, acquire data, prepare logs and reports, and provide on-site interpretation and troubleshooting. Offshore rotation approx 150–180 days.

Qualifications

• Educated to HND/Degree level in an engineering related subject with relevant logging experience.
• Thorough understanding of oilfield wireline operations and services.
• Industry experience and product line training in Wireline and/or related services.

Responsibilities

• Be hands on: rig up, test downhole tools at the wellsite and coordinate with crew members and customers.
• Supervise the training of less experienced engineers and personnel.
• Acquire downhole data, prepare logs and reports, document and test equipment.
• Advise customer representatives during logging operations; interpret data and troubleshoot.
• Perform wellsite analysis and provide operational excellence in delivery.
