Job summary

Baker Hughes is expanding its offshore Wireline team in the UK, seeking a Senior Wireline Field Engineer with experience in electric line logging or downhole tractor operations. You will provide technical expertise to support multiple customer projects and deliver operational excellence.

The role involves rigging up and testing downhole tools at wellsites, supervising junior engineers, acquiring data, and interpreting logs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Senior Wireline Field Engineer, you will provide technical expertise to support the delivery of multiple customer projects. You will play an essential role in delivering technical solutions and providing operational excellence to our customers.

As a Senior Field Engineer, you will also be responsible for:

• Being hands on, rigging up, testing downhole tools at the wellsite and Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services, including liaising with customers and shore-based Operation Managers.
• Supervising the training of less experienced engineers and personnel.
• Acquiring downhole data, preparing logs and reports, documenting, receiving and testing equipment and products.
• Advising Customer Representatives during logging operations; interpreting logging data, troubleshooting and wellsite analysis.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be educated to HND/Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering related subject and have sufficient relevant logging experience.
• Have a thorough understanding and competency in oilfield wireline operations and services.
• Have industry experience and product line training in Wireline and/or related services.
• Be a good communicator and fluent in English.
• Have good knowledge of QHSE practices and an outstanding QHSE attitude.
• Be a key team player, who also can work independently.
• Have a structured, analytical and creative approach.
• Be flexible and positive with a growth mindset.
