Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in electrical/electronics design and development.
  • Experience with electronics design and development in harsh environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, integrate, and test downhole electrical systems with senior engineers.
  • Develop electronic subsystems (telemetry, sensors, power modules) with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause investigations to improve tool reliability.
  • Support testing, qualification, and validation, including procedures and results.
  • Document, analyze, and report technical data to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines for system integration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and technology development.
  • Maintain engineering documentation per policies and standards.
  • Support invention disclosures and IP documentation.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and open technical dialogue.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing next-generation downhole electronics and enabling breakthrough technologies for wireline operations. You will work at the intersection of hardware design, system integration, and real-world field challenges—delivering robust solutions that operate in some of the harshest environments in the industry.

  • Executing, with guidance from senior engineers, the design, analysis, integration, and testing of downhole electrical systems supporting wireline tools, ensuring alignment with product requirements and business standards.
  • Contributing to the development of electronic subsystems (telemetry, sensors, power modules), working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and reliable solutions.
  • Performing analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations to improve tool performance, reliability, and field readiness.
  • Supporting testing, qualification, and validation activities, including preparation of test procedures, execution, and interpretation of results.
  • Documenting, analyzing, and communicating technical data, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders through clear reports and presentations.
  • Collaborating across engineering disciplines to ensure system integration and alignment with overall tool architecture.
  • Participating in team initiatives and technology development efforts, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Maintaining accurate and structured engineering documentation in line with company policies, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Contributing to the protection of intellectual property by supporting invention disclosures and documentation of innovative concepts.
  • Promoting knowledge sharing and open technical dialogue within the team to enhance collaboration and accelerate learning.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Have 2–5 years of experience in Electrical, electronics, design and development.
  • Have demonstrated capability in electrical/electronic design and development (e.g. through professional experience, internships, or self-directed projects)
  • Have Basic knowledge of:
    • Analog/digital electronics, sensors, and signal conditioning
    • Power systems and battery technologies
    • Electrical schematics and circuit design
    • Knowledge of Python, Matlab or other programming language
  • Have Exposure to high-temperature / harsh environment electronics is a plus.
  • Have Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Have Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams
  • Have Good communication and technical documentation skills
