Job summary

ScottishPower, part of the Iberdrola Group, is seeking a Senior Windfarm Controller in Lowestoft to manage offshore logistics, HV switching, and marine transfers. You will monitor SCADA, oversee safety rules, and coordinate with control centres to optimise generation and asset integrity.

The role requires HV experience, adherence to HV safety rules, and strong communication across multi-disciplinary teams. Competitive salary, shift allowances, and rewards apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as a control room operator with HV switching.
• Authorisations under HV Safety Rules (Control Person or SAP).
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, WTGs and HV equipment.
• Experience with WTSR and HVSR safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform the role of Control Person under HV Rules up to 66kV (CP3) as per HVSRs.
• Coordinate HV switching operations and switching schedules.
• Oversee transfer of personnel and equipment by vessels ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Monitor weather and sea conditions to enable go/no-go decisions for offshore access.
• Liaise with site control centres and asset integrity teams for support.
• Ensure all permits are in place and support daily planning and reporting.
