Job summary

ScottishPower in Lowestoft is seeking a Senior Windfarm Controller to oversee HV switching, offshore wind operations and SCADA monitoring of turbines. The role requires coordinating safe, efficient transfer of personnel and equipment from shore to offshore sites, maintaining compliance with HV safety rules, and supporting outage planning with authorized personnel.

You will liaise with contractors and manage sea and weather conditions for safe transit.

Qualifications

• Ideally experienced with HV switching operations and CP3-level authorizations.
• Experience with High Voltage Safety Rules (HVSR) and Control Person/SAP roles.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, WTGs and HV equipment.
• Experience working in offshore wind or similar high-safety operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform HV switching operations and prepare switching schedules.
• Coordinate offshore personnel transfers and ensure permits are in place.
• Monitor weather and determine go/no-go for marine transfers.
• Oversee turbine status via SCADA and coordinate with Asset Integrity teams.
• Support site HV safety compliance and incident response.
