Job summary

ScottishPower, part of the Iberdrola Group, is seeking a Senior Windfarm Controller in Lowestoft to manage HV switching operations up to 66kV, monitor turbine status via SCADA, and coordinate offshore transfers with safety and efficiency at the forefront.

You'll support planning, engage with control personnel across networks, and develop competencies toward HV authorization. A robust offshore logistics and safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as control room operator conducting HV switching operations.
• Authorizations under High Voltage Safety Rules up to 66kV (CP3 level) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, WTGs, HV equipment and protection systems.
• Experience in offshore wind or similar operational environments with safety challenges.
• Strong H&S awareness and ability to follow safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• HV management of the wind farm up to 66kV CP3 level and switching schedules.
• Coordinate offshore transfer of personnel/equipment by vessels; ensure permits and planning.
• Monitor SCADA alarms and coordinate with asset integrity for actions.
• Training path towards HV authorization and Control Person status.
• Support safe marine operations and adherence to HV Safety Rules.
