Job summary

Carbon60 is seeking an experienced WTG Electrical Engineer to lead electrical activities for offshore wind turbine systems across design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning. The role requires strong HV/LV knowledge, supplier engagement and cross-functional collaboration across UK/Europe.

Occasional travel within the UK and Europe may be required. Start ASAP on a 6-month contract with potential extension; travel to Central Scotland or Aberdeenshire; full UK working rights; daily rate

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in offshore wind turbine electrical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems including converters, transformers, and switchgear.
• Experience with low-voltage systems, cable systems, and electrical interfaces.
• Proven experience reviewing and approving WTG electrical designs and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting projects through design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Strong understanding of offshore wind engineering standards, quality requirements, and supplier management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities for offshore wind turbine systems.
• Prepare electrical scopes of work, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Review, assess, and approve WTG electrical designs and engineering deliverables.
• Support front-end engineering and design activities for turbine electrical systems.
• Manage critical electrical interfaces between turbine systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure designs, manufacturing, installation, and testing meet requirements.
• Provide technical oversight throughout design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
• Support technical issue resolution and risk management.
