Job summary

ERSG Ltd is seeking a Senior Control System Engineer to lead control system design and integration for offshore and onshore renewable energy projects across the UK. You will work with the Technical Authority and project teams from feasibility through handover, driving value and innovative technologies to optimise asset performance.

Role requires PLC-based control systems design, SCADA platforms, offshore substations, and experience with field commissioning, testing, and supplier collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in the development and construction of renewable energy projects.
• Design experience with PLC-based control systems, including hardware/panel design and software logic.
• Knowledge of offshore control systems, marine navigation aids, cable monitoring and protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Control System design and development from feasibility to project handover.
• Review supplier documentation for compliance with company standards.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests for Control System and SCADA equipment.
• Draft Employers Requirement Specifications for the Control System and support supplier selection.
• Travel to control centres and offshore installations to support construction and commissioning activities.
