Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Consultant on the Offensive Security team to assess and strengthen clients' security postures across networks, apps, and cloud environments. You will act as the client advocate for cybersecurity best practices and deliver actionable remediation guidance.

The role requires 4+ years in information security, hands-on use of Metasploit, Burp Suite Pro, Nessus, and Cobalt Strike, plus scripting skills and cloud experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience in information security.
• 4+ years of professional experience in information security focusing on penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, or red teaming.
• Proficiency with security assessment tools: Metasploit, Burp Suite Pro, Nessus, Cobalt Strike.
• Scripting or programming in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ruby.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, Windows/Linux, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Certifications such as OSCP/OSCE/GPEN/GWAPT/GXPN are preferred.
• Experience with OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Public speaking or conference publications in cybersecurity are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests (network, web app, cloud, mobile) and report findings with remediation recommendations.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts/tools to automate offensive security engagements.
• Create detailed engagement reports for technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with clients to scope engagements and align on objectives and deliverables.
• Perform threat hunting and IoC analysis using advanced tooling.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments using NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Top 20.
• Provide forward-looking recommendations to improve security posture and incident response.
