City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in the Independent Living Service, focusing on aids and adaptations to help people live independently in their homes. The role combines community work with office days, offering a varied caseload across adults and children.

The post requires HCPC registration and a passion for enabling independence, with emphasis on housing adaptations, equipment, and person-centred care.

Responsabilidades

• Assess and recommend equipment, assistive technology and housing adaptations
• Influence life-changing adaptation projects including level access showers, stairlifts and accessible living solutions
• Work creatively to solve complex occupational performance challenges
• Build strong partnerships with housing, health and social care colleagues
• Support both adults and children across a diverse and rewarding caseload
• Promote strengths-based practice and independence every day
