Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is sourcing an Occupational Therapist for a Local Authority in London on a 12-month contract. You will perform assessments, provide interventions and recommendations to promote independence at home and in the community.

The role involves office-based work one day per week and regular community visits across the borough. The ideal candidate will have HCPC registration, a degree in Occupational Therapy, and extensive experience in Adult Social Care, including moving and

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current HCPC Registration is required.
• Experience in Adult Social Care and community-based assessments preferred.
• Experience with Disability Facilities Grants (DFG) and housing adaptations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy assessments for adults with social care needs.
• Develop person-centred support plans leveraging strengths-based assessments.
• Recommend equipment, adaptations and moving and handling solutions.
• Coordinate with health, housing and social care colleagues to achieve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Care Act 2014 and local policies.
• Attend a weekly duty day and conduct community visits across the borough.
