Job summary

Asda is seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to join the Cloud Platform Team in the UK. The role focuses on improving reliability, performance and operational visibility across Azure estates with hands-on work on New Relic, Azure monitoring, automation and standards.

You will develop dashboards, alerts and Service Level monitoring, expand coverage with IaC, and support incident investigations while driving improvements in service reliability across critical business platforms.

Qualifications

• Experienced in enterprise observability with New Relic and Azure.
• Proficient with OpenTelemetry and IaC (Terraform).
• Strong monitoring, dashboards and alerting practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve enterprise observability capabilities.
• Develop New Relic dashboards, alerts and service health monitoring.
• Expand Azure monitoring across cloud platforms and apps.
• Deliver monitoring solutions via Infrastructure as Code.
• Assist incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Drive reliability and performance improvements.
• Promote observability best practices across teams.
• Support automation and standardisation within Cloud Platform Team.
