Asda Stores Ltd is seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to join the Cloud Platform Team in the UK. This hands‑on role focuses on enterprise observability, New Relic, Azure monitoring, automation and engineering standards to improve reliability and performance across Azure estates.

The role involves building dashboards, expanding monitoring coverage, and driving automation with IaC while collaborating with engineering teams to translate metrics into actionable insights for critical

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise observability and monitoring.
• Proficient in New Relic, Azure Monitor and telemetry tooling.
• Experience delivering IaC based observability platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build, support and continuously improve enterprise observability capabilities.
• Develop and maintain New Relic dashboards, alerts and service-level monitoring.
• Enhance Azure monitoring coverage across cloud platforms and applications.
• Deliver monitoring and observability solutions through Infrastructure as Code.
• Support incident investigation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Drive improvements in service reliability, availability and performance.
• Promote observability best practices across engineering teams.
• Contribute to automation and standardisation initiatives within the Cloud Platform Team.
