Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader at our Basingstoke Hatch Warren centre to oversee multiple rooms and ensure the Bee Curious curriculum is delivered consistently. You will lead activity planning, support a collaborative classroom culture, and champion high standards of care and learning.

You will mentor Room Leaders, oversee safeguarding and wellbeing, and build strong relationships with parents while maintaining centre-wide health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

About Our Nursery

Basingstoke Hatch Warren, rated Good by Ofsted, has a capacity of 100 children and is set across two converted barns in a quiet cul-de-sac. One building is dedicated to under 2s, while the other caters to 2-3s and 3-5s. Located in an affluent area of Basingstoke, we have strong connections with three good infant schools within walking distance. The nursery is conveniently situated near the M3, with bus stops just a five-minute walk away, although accessing certain routes may require two buses. We offer free parking, a complimentary lunch for staff, and a staff room stocked with teas, coffees, and snacks, creating a supportive environment for our team.

• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
