Job summary

Exemplar Health Care’s Fairwinds care home in Rotherham is seeking a Unit Manager (RGN, RMN, RNLD) to lead nursing and care teams on the unit, maintain high standards of care and manage clinical risk.

You’ll work under the Clinical Nurse Manager, have post-registration management experience, ensure care plans and medication governance, and promote person-centred care with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have first-level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
• Post-registration and management or supervisory experience or training/qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Leading your unit’s care and nursing teams to meet medical, physical and emotional needs.
• Provide strong leadership to maintain and develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee and manage all your unit’s clinical elements and risks.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed timely and reflect interventions.
• Act as the Named Nurse for residents, overseeing care profile updates.
• Supervise and manage medication ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal.
