Job summary

Barchester care home is seeking a Senior Nurse (General) to lead clinical care and mentor a team, ensuring residents receive high-quality care in line with NMC regulations.

You will be a registered nurse with current NMC registration, mentoring qualifications, and experience in care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding. You’ll promote best practices for DoLs/MCA and pharmaceutical guidelines while supporting staff development and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Experience creating care plans and detailed risk assessments.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Strong leadership, mentorship of junior nurses, and track record of clinical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing care in the home and supervise clinical operations.
• Mentor and train nursing staff to deliver high‑quality care.
• Administer medicines in line with NMC regulations.
• Support safeguarding policies and resident wellbeing.
