Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Nurse Endoscopist to lead autonomous lower GI endoscopy sessions within the Endoscopy Service. You will run lists, supervise the team, and uphold national targets while delivering high-quality patient care.

The role requires Masters-level qualification, Endoscopy training, and proven leadership in gastroenterology settings.

Formación

• RN first level
• Health-related degree
• Masters-level qualification or equivalent
• Endoscopy training certification

Responsabilidades

• Perform lower GI endoscopy as an autonomous practitioner, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, working unsupervised within Trust protocols
• Run endoscopy lists and nurse-led clinics efficiently and effectively
• Assess physical, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs and provide individual episodes of care
• Apply high-level clinical decision-making and monitor and improve standards of care
• Work within own scope of professional practice and deliver quality standards in line with GRS and JAG
• Work with the multi-professional team to develop the nurse endoscopist service
• Provide training and education to the multi-professional team, patients and relatives
• Act as a role model and keep own clinical expertise current with endoscopy developments
• Involve families and carers in care planning where appropriate
• Develop ways to monitor service users' perceptions of the service
• Contribute to clinical governance action plans and the Endoscopy Users Group
• Advise on wellness, lifestyle, disease risk, screening and prevention, and refer to primary care where needed
