Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nurse Endoscopist/Gastroenterology practitioner to provide autonomous endoscopic services (Gastroscopy/Colonoscopy) with or without sedation, and to support the multidisciplinary team. You will undertake BCSP accreditation when required and contribute to high standards of patient care.

The role requires a Registered General Nurse with BCSP accreditation or willingness to undertake, plus extensive post‑registration experience

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse and registered nursing qualification.
• Evidence of continued education and ongoing professional development.

Responsabilités

• Provide autonomous diagnostic endoscopic service (Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy).
• Support junior medical staff to deliver quality gastroenterology care.
• Develop standards of best practice, protocols and patient group directions with the MDT.
• Support Risk Management processes within the Trust.

Connaissances

Registered General Nurse

5 years post registration experience

MSC or relevant experience

BCSP accredited

Conscious sedation

Advanced life support

Clinical examination

Evidence of continued education
