Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nurse Endoscopist within the Gastroenterology department to lead autonomous endoscopy practice and deliver high-quality patient care. The post holder will be competent in performing lower GI endoscopy and will function as an autonomous clinical expert within GI Endoscopy, collaborating with the MDT.

• Registered Nurse with 1st level NHS qualifications.
• Health related degree or equivalent.
• Masters level qualification or equivalent.
• Endoscopy training certification.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 Work as an autonomous practitioner undertaking diagnostic & therapeutic investigations for GI endoscopy patients.
• Provide high standards of care and monitoring within Trust protocols.
• Work with the multi-professional team to develop nurse endoscopist services.
• Provide training and education to the team, patients and relatives.
