Job summary

Barts Health NHS Trust's Whipps Cross University Hospital in east London is seeking a Clinical Endoscopist to perform high quality gastroscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy within a busy endoscopy unit.

The post is a senior nursing role supporting the Gastroenterology service, with autonomous caseload management, MDT participation, and potential to train other clinicians and trainees.

Qualifications

• Performs high-quality upper and lower GI endoscopy in a high-volume service.
• Autonomously manages a caseload with advanced assessment.
• Engages in training of Clinical Endoscopists and trainees.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic gastroscopy and colonoscopy in line with guidelines.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings across colorectal, hepatobiliary and upper GI services.
• Provide nurse-led clinics and contribute to faster diagnosis pathways.
