Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Night Support Worker for the Edlington service. This role covers 8pm–8am shifts, Monday to Sunday, on a 35-hour contract. The successful candidate will support individuals to gain independence, assist with supervision, and help coordinate daytime activities and community involvement.

The service emphasises compassionate care, resilience, and proactive management of behaviours of distress or challenging behaviours. DBS checks and references apply.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support and challenging behaviours.
• Demonstrates resilience, flexibility and composure in approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts, book training and induct new colleagues.
• Support supervision and order medication as needed.
• Help people supported manage finances and encourage independence.
• Engage residents in community activities and everyday life.

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Senior Night Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Night Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Senior Night Support Workers should hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress and challenging behaviours, mental health conditions, autism, acquired brain injury, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
