Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior physiotherapist with neurological experience to join the NMO multi-disciplinary team. The post is 29 hours per week, with one day at the NMO out-patient clinic and the remainder split between a wellbeing service, patient follow-ups, and outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Senior physiotherapist with neurological experience and NHS background.
• Post-graduate qualifications and ability to work autonomously at band 7 level.
• Experience leading services and contributing to audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead therapy and wellbeing aspects of the NMO service with the team.
• Develop a broader wellness service alongside specialist nurses and doctors.
• Provide physiotherapy and wellbeing support across clinics and wards.
• Offer remote patient support via telephone and email when needed.
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality assurance within the team.
• Participate in service development projects and audits of outcomes.
• Educate other healthcare professionals on rehabilitation needs of NMO patients.
