Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist (Team Leader) to lead advanced assessments and manage a team within the Regional Neurosurgery & Neurology Unit.

You will mentor registered and unregistered staff, drive service improvement, and work with Consultants, Clinical Specialists and the wider MDT to deliver high‑quality physiotherapy across acute neurosciences.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in acute neurosciences including respiratory impairments.

Responsibilities

• Lead autonomous specialist assessments and treatment of complex acute neurological patients.
• Provide leadership to registered and unregistered staff and contribute to education programmes.
• Participate in service evaluation and quality improvement projects to advance practice in neurosciences.
• Support MDT collaboration and develop clinical pathways and rotation planning.
