Job summary

DVLA is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer specializing in Network and Security Operations Centre services to support and maintain the critical network and security infrastructure underpinning production services.

You will operate in a 24/7 environment, provide second-line incident/problem/change support, and work with 3rd line and stakeholders to keep services secure, resilient and available.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise network and security technologies.
• Proven incident, problem and change management experience.
• Ability to use scripting/automation to improve troubleshooting and service delivery.
• Knowledge of cloud identity or privileged access technologies.

Responsibilities

• Configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and Wi‑Fi devices.
• Diagnosing and prioritising complex incidents, investigating root causes and restoring live services.
• Using enterprise monitoring to identify and troubleshoot network, security and service issues.
• Supporting enterprise network, security and infrastructure management services.
• Using scripting and automation to improve troubleshooting and repeatable operational activity.
