Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Network Security Professional and Specialist for Manchester. You will lead network security operations, own critical incidents, and drive change governance in a 24/7 environment.

You will contribute to secure networks while aligning with ITIL practices, delivering high-quality outcomes across multi-vendor environments. This role requires commutable presence in Manchester and eligibility for UK security clearance.

Qualifications

• Industry-recognised security certifications (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications include Palo Alto PCNSE, F5 WAF, Forescout NAC, Netskope.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across Network Security Operations, acting as a key decision-maker within the team.
• Take ownership of critical P1/P2 security incidents, driving resolution and stakeholder communication.
• Own and support change management activities, ensuring changes are risk-assessed and governance-aligned.
• Lead and promote ITIL best practices for service delivery and continuous improvement.
