Job summary

Square One Resources is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer in Coventry for a 4-month contract. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, driving Zero Trust initiatives and modernising security architecture.

You will bring hands-on firewall expertise (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, Juniper SRX) and strong cloud networking knowledge in Azure and AWS, with a track record of

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise network security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms.
• Knowledge of security in Azure and AWS networking.
• Experience designing Zero Trust security architectures.
• Ability to lead security initiatives and collaborate with SOC.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise network security across on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Lead network security transformation and Zero Trust initiatives.
• Deploy and manage firewalls with policy config, NAT, and access controls.
• Develop network segmentation strategies to minimise risk and lateral movement.
• Secure cloud network architectures in Azure and AWS and ensure secure connectivity.
• Configure VPNs, IPSec, SSL VPNs and remote access with robust security.
• Monitor security events and contribute to threat detection and response with SOC.
