Job summary

Sky UK Limited is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement and govern enterprise-scale security across networks, data, and cloud environments. You will monitor threats, investigate incidents, and drive improvements in security posture with advanced tooling and automation.

Role requires hands-on expertise with firewalls, WAFs, VPNs, SIEM/SOAR, and Zero Trust. Hybrid working with in-office presence in Osterley is expected as part of Sky’s campus culture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise-scale network security.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP or equivalent are highly regarded.
• Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation.
• Hands-on with security operations, including EDR, vulnerability management, and IAM.

Responsibilities

• Develops cyber security plans addressing current and future threats.
• Monitors network activity for anomalies and unauthorized access.
• Investigates potential breaches and incident indicators.
• Responds to incidents with containment, remediation, and backups.
• Improves processes and mitigations; documents standards and runbooks.
• Implements firewalls, IDS, encryption tools, and related tech.
• Produces detailed security reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Advises on cyber security at organisation and customer levels.
