Job summary

Sky is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement and monitor enterprise-scale security across our networks. You will lead incident response, threat intelligence, and security automation while shaping policies and best practices.

Key responsibilities include monitoring for attacks, investigating breaches, and deploying firewalls, IDS, and encryption tools. Strong collaboration with teams and stakeholders is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-scale network security solutions.
• Proven ability to automate security operations and optimise workflows.
• Strong knowledge of modern threat intel, incident response and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Develops comprehensive cyber security plans addressing current threats and future risks.
• Monitors network activity for suspicious behavior and unauthorised access attempts.
• Investigates potential breaches and anomalies detected by monitoring systems.
• Responds quickly to incidents by isolating systems or restoring backups as needed.
• Analyses security processes to identify improvements and mitigations.
• Implements firewalls, IDS, encryption tools and other protections to raise defence levels.
• Produces detailed reports on incidents and recommendations for changes.
• Provides technical advice on cyber security to internal teams and external partners.
• Keeps up-to-date with trends and ensures regulatory compliance.
