Job summary

xAI in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned Senior Network Security Engineer to join our security team. You will serve as SME in network security, specializing in firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and routing/switching, shaping enterprise security posture and incident response.

You will deploy new devices, update configurations, monitor cloud network traffic across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on‑prem, and drive changes with documentation and change control.

Qualifications

• Certifications like CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, Security+ or similar preferred.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation of network security tasks.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, ACLs and secure routing/switching practices.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and IaC tools like Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in network security, particularly firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and routing protocols.

• Manage and update firewall configurations across our enterprise network.
• Deploy new firewalls, switches, routers, and network devices as needed.
• Develop and propose innovative network security solutions for routing and switching.
