Job summary

Indra Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the transition, implementation and future operation of enterprise network services. The role ensures secure, resilient network infrastructure across multiple sites with a focus on transition, transformation and BAU readiness.

The successful candidate will lead technical delivery across LAN/WAN, data centre, wireless and security domains, collaborating with stakeholders, internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, installing, commissioning and supporting complex multi-site LAN and WAN networks.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, IP addressing and dynamic routing protocols including BGP/OSPF.
• Hands-on experience with MPLS, IPsec, QoS, VPN and firewall technologies.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches and Nexus platforms.
• Experience using network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, NetFlow or packet analysers.

Responsibilities

• Service transition and implementation: support incoming transition and project implementation, including technical delivery and handover into BAU.
• Network operations: manage incidents, service requests and escalations within SLAs.
• Transformation projects: contribute to network transformation with technical input and migration support.
• Technical implementation: install, configure, and support network infrastructure platforms (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
• Network design input: provide options and deployment approaches for enterprise projects.
• Monitoring and health: monitor performance, perform health checks, identify risks and supervise actions.
• Security and connectivity: manage secure routing, QoS, and VPN solutions.
• Documentation: maintain clear network diagrams, procedures, and knowledge articles.
