British Transport Police in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Network Specialist to design, implement and support robust voice, data, video and wireless services across our rail network. Based at any main hub (Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester or London) with occasional travel to London HQ, this full-time role offers a blended home/office arrangement.

You will work with senior engineers, monitor performance, upgrade hardware and software, document changes, and stay current

Formación

• Degree in IT, engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Working towards or holding entry-level networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+ , JNCIA).

Responsabilidades

• Support the design and deployment of network infrastructure
• Monitor network reliability and troubleshoot issues
• Assist with upgrades to hardware, software, and firmware
• Document configurations, processes, and changes
• Collaborate with IT colleagues and third‑party partners
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies
• Support users and help maintain strong Wi‑Fi performance
