Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a Senior Engineer (Design - Primary Projects) to lead electrical network design and project delivery across Central and Southern Scotland. Hybrid role with site attendance and home-working options, focusing on ED3 investments and innovative engineering solutions.

You will collaborate with customers, internal teams and external stakeholders to balance technical, commercial and safety considerations while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in electrical network design up to 33kV or equivalent.
• Experience with electricity distribution networks and standards.
• Understanding of regulatory environment and investment drivers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design network projects and programmes to support business plan objectives.
• Build robust work programmes across the licence area for maximum value.
• Support ED3 and wider investment plans through engineering and commercial decisions.
