Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola group, is seeking two Senior Engineers (Primary Projects) in Glasgow. Hybrid role with office and site visits across Central and Southern Scotland. You will develop and design major substation and network projects, shaping the investment programme for ED3 and beyond.

You will work with stakeholders to deliver robust plans, drive innovative engineering solutions, and mentor talented engineers while promoting safety and reliability across the network.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in electrical network design and development for distribution networks.
• Understanding of regulatory drivers and investment planning for ED3.
• Ability to balance technical, commercial and customer considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design network projects and programmes aligned with business objectives.
• Build robust work programmes across the licence area with regulatory value.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to deliver compliant solutions.
• Promote safety culture and mentor junior engineers and trainees.
