Job summary

We Are Zenith is partnering with an innovative engineering organisation to recruit a Principal Engineer - MV/HV Cable Design. This senior role drives technical leadership for MV/HV submarine cable design, supporting offshore wind projects and lifecycle management across teams.

The successful candidate will oversee design studies, R&D programs and the advancement of new cable technologies, ensuring adherence to IEC/CIGRE standards while mentoring engineers and collaborating with customers and

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Extensive experience in HV submarine cable design for offshore wind or subsea applications.
Proven track record leading technically complex engineering projects.
Experience working in R&D environments and technical teams.
Exposure to Orcaflex and its application in offshore cable analysis is essential.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for MV/HV submarine cable engineering activities.
Lead R&D and product development projects across the lifecycle.
Develop and maintain cable design rules and engineering standards.
Produce and review technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
Interface with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders on technical matters.
