Mott MacDonald is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer (HV Cable Design) to join our Transmission & Distribution team. You will design and implement high‑voltage cable systems for onshore and offshore projects, collaborating with civil, environmental, and electrical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
With a UK-wide delivery footprint, the role offers agile, hybrid working and opportunities to influence energy infrastructure.
Competenze
- Essential requirements include a degree in electrical engineering and experience in transmission cable systems.
- Desirable: Masters in Electrical Engineering and experience with onshore/offshore HV cable designs.
- Strong analytical and communication skills are expected.
Mansioni
- HVAC/HVDC Cable System Design for onshore and offshore projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HV cables into substations and grids.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for cable projects.
- Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and design of cable systems for major projects.
- Interface with civil/environmental teams to meet consenting requirements.
- Tender/design through construction detail level and issue resolution during installation.
