Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Modern Workplace Officer to deliver and support modern workplace services across Microsoft 365, endpoint management and related technologies. You will ensure secure, compliant and well-managed devices and identities.

The role involves supporting Entra-joined devices, Windows Hello for Business, and cloud-managed services, with opportunities to contribute to digital transformation projects across the Council.

Qualifications

• Experience providing third-line technical support within a complex ICT environment.
• Experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 services, including licensing, user lifecycle management and Exchange Online administration.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, device compliance and modern workplace technologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity management, Microsoft Purview and compliance technologies.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Phone, VoIP or unified communications technologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and service management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide third-line technical support and administration across the Council's modern workplace environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, technical specialists and third-party suppliers to resolve complex incidents and service requests.
• Maintain service performance and contribute to continual improvement of digital services.
• Support and administer a range of modern workplace technologies, including Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity services and unified communications.
