Job summary

OneAdvanced is seeking a Principal Modern Workplace Consultant to architect, implement and govern Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace solutions across customer environments. You will drive complex projects, lead design governance, and embed automation to deliver secure, scalable services.

You will mentor engineers, produce technical documentation, and ensure alignment with ITIL v4 service management while maintaining strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting, implementing and supporting Microsoft 365/Modern Workplace in large environments.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to mentor engineers and guide design reviews.
• Eligibility to obtain UK SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement complex Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace projects (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
• Design automation frameworks for 365 configuration and compliance using IaC; maintain auditable templates.
• Define and maintain configuration baselines, policy standards and technical documentation.
• Ensure environments meet security/operational standards (ISO 27001, 9001, CIS, Cyber Essentials Plus).
• Mentor junior consultants; author technical documentation for new solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and governance for Modern Workplace architectures.
• Drive service improvements including monitoring, patching and governance.
