Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Allied Health Professional to join the Motor Neuron Disease (MND) Care Centre team in a fixed-term 24-month post.

The role involves managing an MND caseload, collaborating with neurology and palliative teams, and leading aspects of care coordination across the Wessex region. Support and development are provided within a multidisciplinary framework.

Qualifications

• Current HCPC registration.
• Degree or equivalent in relevant allied health profession.
• Masters level or evidence of post-graduate training in the defined specialty.

Responsibilities

• Hold a clinical caseload of MND patients with the Lead MND Coordinator.
• Act as single point of contact for patients with MND and families.
• Attend specialist regional MND clinics and MDT meetings.
• Contribute to the MND improvement plan and NICE audit.
• Provide MND-related training to colleagues and support the research pathway.
