Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 allied health professional to join the MND Care Centre team. You will manage a clinical caseload, support patients and families, and work within a regional MDT framework across the Wessex region.

The role involves post-diagnostic visits, NICE-based guidance, and contributing to NICE audits with the MND Association partnership. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant AHP profession.
• Masters level or evidence of equivalent postgraduate training in the defined speciality.
• Evidence of commitment to ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities

• Hold a clinical caseload of people with MND, providing supportive care with the Lead MND Coordinator and regional team.
• Act as single point of contact for patients with MND and their families within the Care Centre.
• Carry out post-diagnostic visits for newly diagnosed patients, giving advice, emotional support and NICE-based clinical guidance.
