Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) seeks an ML Engineer to design MCP servers and tools that expose enterprise workflows to AI agents. You will implement Skills that orchestrate tools, data, and reasoning into repeatable, governed workflows and contribute to the LSEG AI Assist harness.

You will collaborate across product teams to build secure API wrappers, transfer knowledge, and help shape patterns and standards for enterprise-scale AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python development experience with robust code quality.
• Hands-on experience with large language models and agent workflows.
• Solid understanding of MCP server and tool patterns.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs with FastAPI.
• Strong skills in prompt engineering and RAG architectures.
• Practical knowledge of containerisation and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and build MCP servers and tools exposing enterprise workflows to AI agents.
• Implement Skills that orchestrate tools, data, and reasoning into repeatable workflows.
• Contribute to the LSEG AI Assist harness including planning and orchestration logic.
• Create secure API wrappers where backend systems lack proper authentication.
• Collaborate with product teams to transfer knowledge and establish reusable patterns.
• Shape developer experience for MCP and Skills with templates and standards.
• Work with Quality Engineers and SREs to ensure governance and operability.
