HCRG Care Group seeks an Emergency Clinical Practitioner for the Minor Injury Unit at Chippenham Hospital. The role focuses on autonomous assessment, treatment and discharge of minor injuries and illnesses, and running the unit when the clinical lead is away.

Band 7, seven-day rota from 8am to 8.30pm, with potential cover at other BSW units. Requires degree, professional registration, APiCA or similar, and independent non-medical prescribing.

Qualificações

• Relevant degree
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Relevant minor injuries or emergency department experience and qualifications, such as APiCA
• Independent non-medical prescribing

Responsabilidades

• Autonomous assessment, examination, documentation, prescribing and evaluation of care for MIU patients
• Appropriate discharge of patients attending the MIU
• Safe staffing and management of the MIU in the absence of the clinical lead
• Co-ordinating specialist care for people who would traditionally attend ED or need timely discharge
• Delivering minor injury and illness care to the local community
• Working as part of a practitioner-led team across primary and secondary care in BSW
• Working with partner organisations including RUH Bath, other BSW units and HCRG services
• Working at other MIUs across BSW when required
