Placements24 partners with a prominent mining group to recruit a Senior Mine Planning Engineer for its strategic planning team near Randburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on developing and optimizing long-, medium- and short-term mine plans to maximize safety, resource recovery and profitability.

You will use Deswik, Vulcan and Surpac to model, schedule and optimize plans, collaborate with cross functional teams, and mentor junior engineers in a hybrid work setting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, review, and update integrated short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans.
• Optimize mine designs and production schedules for maximum resource recovery and value.
• Conduct feasibility studies, mine evaluations, and economic assessments.
• Utilize Deswik, Vulcan and Surpac for 3D modelling, scheduling and optimization.
• Collaborate with geological, operational and engineering teams to align plans with objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
