Job summary

Pure Talent Group is hiring an experienced MIG Welder for a busy Derby workshop in heavy engineering and rail refurbishment. The role covers fabrication, repair, and refurbishment of rail wagons and heavy components, working from technical drawings and ensuring high quality welds.

The position is permanent, full-time (42.5 hours/week) with overtime available, and may involve UK-wide site work. A strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork is essential for success in this varied role.

Qualifications

• Proven MIG welding experience in heavy engineering environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Understanding of workshop safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld on heavy steel components and fabrications.
• Repair and refurbish rail wagons and heavy steel assemblies.
• Work from drawings and specifications to prepare, cut, weld and finish parts.
• Maintain high workmanship, safety and quality standards.
