Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking an experienced MIG Welder for a permanent, full-time role in Derby within a busy rail engineering workshop. You will weld heavy steel components, refurbish rail wagons, and fabricate large assemblies to exacting specs.

The role offers training on site, good overtime rates and the chance to work on major rail engineering projects. Standard hours are Mon-Fri with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Proven MIG welding experience in heavy engineering or fabrication.
• Experience with structural steel and heavy fabrications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Willingness to complete a practical weld test.

Responsibilities

• Weld on heavy steel components and structural fabrications.
• Repair and refurbish rail wagons and related components.
• Fabricate and repair wagon components using drawings and specs.
• Prepare, cut, weld and finish metal parts to high standards.
• Maintain H&S and workmanship quality on all tasks.
• Support occasional site-based welding projects when required.
