Job summary

Millenium Site Services is seeking an experienced Welder to join our internal engineering team at our Head Office in Derby. This is a permanent, full-time role performing MIG welding on components and sub-assemblies within the rail sector.

You will work from engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications, fabricate and rectify metal parts, and visually inspect welds to quality standards while maintaining health and safety compliance. Overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as Welder, ideally in rail, automotive, aerospace, or a regulated engineering setting.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Own PPE/tools where applicable.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding of components and sub-assemblies to specifications.
• Work from technical drawings and WPS.
• Fabrication, fit-up, and rectification of metal components.
• Visually inspect welds to required standards.
• Complete quality documentation and sign-off records.
• Adhere to health, safety and quality standards.
