Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a Senior Service Delivery Manager for MIDAS to oversee the performance, reliability and continual improvement of a critical roadside technology service across the Strategic Road Network. This hybrid role combines operational leadership with stakeholder engagement and governance across a national portfolio.

You will analyse data, manage risks, coordinate with design and procurement, and guide suppliers and teams to deliver safe, efficient journeys.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Operational Technology, Information Technology or a related discipline.
ITIL qualification (preferably ITIL 4 or V5).
Significant experience managing complex, business-critical IT or Operational Technology services within a large-scale operational environment.
Ability to interpret complex technical and operational information and make informed decisions in ambiguous or fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Lead operational performance of MIDAS roadside technology and fault, event and problem management.
Analyse service performance data, asset health information, incident trends and operational risks to identify improvements.
Work with service design and procurement teams to ensure lessons learnt influence the asset lifecycle.
Improve performance by building strong relationships between end-users, suppliers, installers, asset managers and maintainers.
Manage contracts, monitoring, reporting and financial oversight of the service.
