Job summary

Wanstor Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (internal title: Senior Technical Consultant) to deliver infrastructure, cloud and modern workplace projects for a diverse client base, including Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations.

The role combines project delivery, technical consultancy and leadership, mentoring engineers and driving continual improvement while building trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across Microsoft technologies: M365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, AD, Exchange Online.
• Experience with Windows Server, Hyper‑V, VMware, SQL, AWS, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewalls, switching, routing, and wireless networking.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Research and critical thinking to provide detailed analyses.
• Awareness of security concepts and frameworks related to cyber essentials.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Deliver infrastructure, cloud and modern workplace projects for a diverse customer base.
• Design and implement secure, scalable IT solutions aligned to business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships, becoming a strategic technical advisor.
• Proactively review environments to improve performance, resilience, security and UX.
• Lead cloud adoption and infrastructure modernisation, including Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments.
• Ensure environments stay secure and compliant with best practices.
• Escalate complex issues and manage major incidents to resolution.
• Mentor Service Desk engineers and drive continual improvement.
• Collaborate with Professional Services, Service Delivery and Account Management.
