Zusammenfassung

Safran is seeking a Senior Metrology Engineer to act as the technical lead for metrology in a defined manufacturing domain. You will define and optimise measuring strategies, own measurement-system compliance, and approve complex inspection plans while mentoring manufacturing engineers.

Responsibilities include leading SPC initiatives, resolving dimensional issues, and driving improvement projects across measurement processes in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in a regulated industry.
• Proficiency in CAD, CAM, and process simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

The Senior Metrology Engineer acts as the technical lead for a defined manufacturing domain or process, providing expert support, coaching and escalation for Manufacturing Engineers and Operations teams.

The domain specialises in the design, development and implementation of optimal measuring strategies and processes and resolving dimensional issues, optimising the quality and delivery of the production facility., Senior authority for metrology, dimensional control and measurement systems

• Define and optimise measuring strategies (CMM, laser tracker, scanning, vision systems)
• Own capability, accuracy and compliance of measurement systems
• Approve inspection plans, MSA, gauge R\&R, uncertainty analysis
• Lead development and deployment of SPC strategies for measurement processes, including key characteristic monitoring and sampling plans
