Job summary

Crown House Technologies, the specialist MEP delivery business of Laing O''Rourke, is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the team delivering Hinkley Point C in Somerset. You will manage costs, forecasts and change across £175m MEP packages, working with project leadership, client and supply chain to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MEP QS, ideally on infrastructure projects.
• Degree or higher in Quantity Surveying required.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and cost management is essential.
• Experience managing commercial activities across complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, defence or infrastructure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of allocated MEP packages and workstreams.
• Monitor costs, forecasts, budgets, risks and opportunities.
• Assist with subcontract procurement, administration, valuations, payments, change and final accounts.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and commercial reporting.
• Identify and assess change, supporting cost and contractual impacts.
• Collaborate with project teams to support cost control and commercial decision-making.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Provide commercial advice to the project team.
• Support resolution of commercial issues, claims and negotiations.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure contractual compliance.
